I had high hopes for Del Frisco’s in Fort Worth after making dinner reservations, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. Despite having a reservation, we were initially asked to sit at the bar. When we were finally seated upstairs, the temperature was uncomfortably cold — not sure if it’s always like that or if something was off that night, but it definitely impacted the dining experience. Oddly enough, the restrooms were the warmest place in the building.
The food took about an hour to arrive, and sadly, it was not worth the wait. I ordered the salmon, which came on a bed of cherry tomatoes. The dish lacked flavor, and the skin on the salmon was burnt. I didn’t send it back because I didn’t want to wait any longer — but I barely ate it. The lobster mac & cheese was just as underwhelming. The pasta had no flavor and the lobster was rubbery. I also ordered broccolini, which tasted like it was simply boiled — no seasoning, no char, no flavor.
While the atmosphere is undeniably beautiful, I can’t recommend this location based on the food. For the price point and reputation, I expected much better. Unfortunately, the quality and overall dining experience did not meet expectations
