You normally can’t make a reservation for here. We normally wait at the hotel next door & get drinks from the bar during our wait. We used to love this place & come here for my mom’s birthday every year, but it seems like it gets worse every time we come.
We sat down and the waitress didn’t ask if we wanted any appetizers & only asked 2/5 of us if we wanted water. She came back & took the drinks we ordered from the bar & didn’t ask if we wanted refills on any of them. We ate all the bread she gave us & she never asked if we needed anymore.
When we received our food, 3/5 of us got baked potatoes but only 1 of us was asked if we wanted filling (cheese, sour cream, chives). You can see in the picture below that I didn’t get any. When we ordered desert, she took all of our plates & only gave us extra spoons. Only after we finished the dessert did she ask if we wanted any drinks. We ordered our drinks & she gave them to us in to go cups after clearly wanting us to leave.
Note to be careful ordering your steaks because the ones pictured were ordered as medium rare. They tend to have very rare steaks here. Prime rib is a definite go to if they have it, but they always seem to be out. They were out of about 5 menu items during our most recent visit.
Don’t know if we’ll be coming back next year or anytime soon. This was a huge let down and the service is not worth the price we paid for food here.

A very good meal at a good price. This place has a great atmosphere. Loved the look of the saddles for bar stools, the kitchen has an open Woodfire grill that you can see from the dining room. We were sat quickly. Our server was very polite and friendly, answering any of my wife's questions on menu recommendations. Our steaks were cooked perfectly.

Pretty nice place, loved the decoration, atmosphere, etc.
I really liked the food however was a bit disappointed by the size of the cup of soup, saw old pics I guess and it seemed like bigger and when I got it it was tiny so yeah just be aware of the size. My cocktail was also ok, nothing extraordinary, think I rather have a beer next time 😉
I also had to wait around 10 min , but you can wait at the bar.

Great spot to grab some BBQ and truly indulge yourself in some Texas Hospitality.
Steaks & Ribs are great but my absolute favorite are the tortilla chips with both wood roasted salsa & poblanos con queso.
The attention of the staff is also great, I once had a meal removed from the bill because the waitress felt it took too long to be prepared.
Must-visit when in the stockyards!

The food here was amazing. The margs were great. Great flavor and strong! The filet was super flavorful and it came with 2 sides so definitely filling. Our waitress Megan was super informative and helpful on the menu. 10/10 would recommend eating here once while on your trip

We stopped here for lunch on a Saturday. We didn’t have a reservation but we were able to get seated straight away. The service was prompt and we quickly put in our drink orders (a mango & pineapple margarita for me and a beer for my other half). The margarita was a little sweeter than I was expecting, and didn’t seem like it had much tequila in it, but it was nice enough.

We then put in our food orders; I went for the catfish (with spinach as my side as I had seen good reviews of this) and my partner had the chicken fried steak. Food arrived quickly but my dish was extremely disappointing. The catfish had no flavour at all (even after putting lemon, salt and pepper on it) and I would say it is the worst catfish I have ever had. The spinach came with some sort of gravy/cheese sauce and I really didn’t like this either, my partner did eat it though so I think my dislike of this is more personal preference. My partners dish was great though (he said it was the best chicken fried steak he has had) and the fries were awesome (they could have used some of the seasoning on the fries in the catfish dish).

If you are just looking for a casual lunch spot, with large portions, then this place would be fine. I probably wouldn’t return though as I think there are better spots in the area. Total bill, including tax and tip, came to c$80 which we thought was reasonable.

H3 seemed like a great place for our first meal in town and it didn't disappoint. Our server was friendly & helpful. I had the St Louis Ribs which were tasty but a little more chew from the bone than I prefer. The wife had the catfish & it was tasty. She also had their apaloma which had a splash of red wine on top, unusually good. A lot of standard beers but did have 2 locals which I had to have, be sure to ask about what's not on the menu. If you're here for multiple meals, be sure to give this place a try.

Very busy so waited a while to be served. It was worth the wait! We ordered one dinner as being from the UK we can't eat as much. We were still full at the end. Good fillet steak, baked potato and trimmings. Bread especially tasty.

This is a busy place, there was a bit of a wait so we opted for full service at the bar. I didnt expect to be sitting in a saddle while i drank my beer and ate my steak. I also dont know why they would mount the south end of a northbound Buffalo over the bar. I guess this is supposed to be interesting. The king crab was sold out, so we had a steak and the rainbow trout. My steak came on a cast iron skillet but the skillet was cold so my food cooled down just a bit too fast. I've always believed you can save a bad experience with good service. Not that the food was bad, my steak was cooked perfect. The trout was delicious. But the service was the best thing about this place. Maybe i just hated that Buffalo butt that much.

This establishment has the absolute BEST bacon wrapped Filet. My Husband and I have been coming here for over ten years, and we have never once ordered any other entree but that Filet. Perfection!

Our steaks are always cooked perfectly, and we always have such lovely staff helping us!

I’m also impressed with the children’s menu. My two young boys always find something tasty.

Gold stars for everything!! Amazing food and service. We had a reservation for 7:30 and we were sat immediately. We started with the salsa and queso and they were absolutely wonderful. The skillet potatoes were fantastic! Both steaks were flavorful and cooked perfectly. The star of this show was the sausage creamed corn. I could have eaten an entire meal of just that. This was first time here as we were visiting from Alabama but will definitely be coming back here when we make a return trip to the area.
