Grimaldi’s Pizzeria — A Taste of Brooklyn’s Most Iconic Coal-Fired Pizza at The Shops at Clearfork in Fort Worth

When New York’s most celebrated pizza tradition meets one of Fort Worth’s most upscale dining destinations, the result is something worth making a reservation for. Grimaldi’s Pizzeria at The Shops at Clearfork brings over 100 years of Brooklyn pizza-making heritage to Cowtown, and the coal-fired brick oven at the heart of the kitchen makes all the difference. The most award-winning pizzeria in the United States, Grimaldi’s uses real ingredients, fresh-sliced mozzarella, and a secret recipe dough and pizza sauce that have been perfected over generations. Pizzas and calzones are baked to perfection in the signature coal-burning oven, delivering a tantalizing aroma, unique flavor, and crisp crust that is simply not possible from gas, convection, or wood-burning ovens.

The menu centers on hand-tossed coal brick-oven pizzas including the classic Margherita with secret recipe tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella, the White with extra mozzarella and garlic, the Pesto with fresh mozzarella and basil pesto, and creative specialty pies like the Hot Honey Pepperoni drizzled with Mike’s Hot Honey and the Garden White topped with pesto, mushrooms, white onions, and jalapeño. Gluten-friendly and cauliflower crust options are available for those with dietary needs. The Caesar salad is a standout worth ordering alongside any pizza, and the cheesecake — especially the blueberry when it’s available — rounds out a meal that from start to finish justifies the price point entirely. A full-service bar with a curated wine list, craft beers on draft, and a red sangria that pairs beautifully with any pie makes Grimaldi’s just as fitting for date night as it is for a family outing.

The Fort Worth location is situated in the beautiful Shops at Clearfork at 5276 Monahans Ave., Suite J-200, Fort Worth, TX 76109, next to the AMC Dine-In Theater and just two miles from TCU, with a convenient parking garage directly across the street. Hours are Monday through Thursday 11am–9pm, Friday and Saturday 11am–10pm, and Sunday 11am–9pm, with pizza by the slice available until 3pm daily. Indoor and outdoor seating, online ordering, takeout, and group dining for parties of eight or more are all available. I have been to lots of Grimaldis establishments before but this is the worst staff experience I have had. There have been quite a few times that I have returned to this location and each time I am met with either rude staff members or have been seated but not served for 20 mins. The server proceeded to serve a table of 7 who walked in 8 minutes after we did and had no reservation. While my date and I had already been seated for 8 minutes. We had no one come over to order our drinks. So we got up and ordered take out from the bar and left. It’s Grimaldis so I had to give it 3 stars at a minimum. The pizza is good, but the staff and service here just is subpar and not to the standard that I am usually met with at Grimaldis.

My friend and I decided to have Grimaldi’s for our monthly brunch outing. They were not really busy, so we were seating immediately. It took the waiter awhile to come take our order, but the food was good. Our drinks and salads came out quickly and we did not have to wait very long for our pizza. The food was good and the atmosphere was welcoming. Again, we had to wait for our waiter to bring us the check, but he was nice and friendly. I will visit again.

Now…parking…this is not due to anything on Grimaldi’s part. It’s the area in general. The parking at Clearfork is HORRENDOUS. Don’t bother trying to find a spot close, on the street. Just go ahead and park in the garage and save yourself a headache.

Was very impressed by the brick oven pizza. Nice crunchy crust and great flavor. Also loved that they didn't use a lot of sauce like most pizza places. Feel like that made the pizza more enjoyable. Went for lunch and will definitely be bringing the family back for dinner soon!

Grimaldi’s is our absolute favorite pizza parlor! My family and I love their pizza. It’s crunchy, creamy, zesty, and always cooked to perfection. Great atmosphere, the perfect espresso martini and love their ricotta and fresh mozzarella. Literally the best; I tell no lies! Don’t skip dessert either- we’ve tried them all, so good!!!!

Food is already kind of meh and had me hesitant to ever want to return but wow witnessing an employee steal really was the cherry on top. Two college girls that were Red Bull ambassadors parked their car across from the grimaldis, locked their car, mistakenly didn’t lock one side and left to hand them out to people around the shops. About 15-20 min after the girls left the car, a grimaldis employee with glasses came out and dug around the back of the girls car for several minutes until he had a whole arm full of Red Bulls and ran back to the restaurant after stealing 10-15 of them. Even if they are free, there’s NO REASON to be touching someone’s property and dug into their car. Egregious behavior in a work uniform nevertheless. Don’t see myself visiting again.

I was stressed out getting to Grimaldi’s in Fort Worth on time before they shut their oven. I spoke with Kennedy, she said no problem I can take your order. When I arrived my pizza was ready to pick up. My family enjoyed the best Hero Italian pesto pizza! We are looking forward to returning for great customer service and the best pizza in Fort Worth.

We celebrated my son’s 30th birthday, and I must say, everything was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. From our amazing waitress to Matt, the manager on duty, the entire team went above and beyond to ensure our party of 20+ was well taken care of. I especially appreciated the way Matt gave special attention to the birthday king, making the celebration even more memorable.

If you’re looking for a place to enjoy a great pizza Grimaldi’s is a very good option. They have a great traditional coal-fired brick oven pizza with fresh ingredients and exquisite homemade sauce. It’s a place with indoor and outdoor space to share with family (very nice for kids) and friends too!

The staff are nice and make the best job with an excellent service. The atmosphere have special decorations inspired in NY for their first pizzeria in Brooklyn.

Delicious, crispy brick oven pizza. We devoured our pizzas so fast I didn’t get a chance to grab a picture, but I did manage to snap the Reese’s cheesecake, which was just as decadent as it looks. If you’re craving brick oven pizza, this place will really hit the spot! We tried the white pizza with chicken and a traditional with pepperoni and both were perfect!

This pizzeria was highly recommended by a friend. Therefore the expectation was high. Well, it failed. The service was slow and the restaurant was only a third full.
The pizza was good, not outstanding, but good. "Nothing to right home about". Not worth the price.
No kids menu! So I ordered a bowl of Italian meatballs and they were overcooked and dry. My child didn't eat them.
For my family of three it cost me $41. I stick to my local Italian restaurant.

The atmosphere was really authentic and cool. The wine bottle chandeliers, metal squares ceiling tiles and large glass window to see the chef's toss the pizza dough and cook in a brick oven.

Would I return? No because of the price and service.
