I absolutely LOVE Arizola’s. It’s one of my favorite places to go to! I got the enchiladas with double beans. Lots of delicious food.

I remember when Arizola’s was the pride of Lake Worth. Back in the early 2000s and well into the next decade, it was the place to eat & specifically have a margarita with friends. Packed at all hours, consistently great food, friendly service, and an atmosphere that made you want to stay. We especially enjoyed visiting when they offered breakfast; those early morning meals were a highlight, and the food was still good.

But those days are long gone.

Now, when I drive by, the parking lot sits nearly empty. It’s hard to believe it’s the same place that used to be lined with cars and patrons.

One specific defining visit for me was nearly a decade ago, but it really set the tone for how the service and care had shifted. During what was supposed to be a quick, familiar dinner, I found a long hair in my food. Disgusted but understanding that things happen, I sent it back. When the replacement arrived, I took one bite and nearly cracked a tooth on a small piece of metal buried in my taco. When I flagged down the waitress and who I assumed was the manager, his response was dismissive at best, casually mentioning it was probably from the meat strainer, as if that should somehow make it okay.
To be noted: The waitress did give us the corporate number and was extremely apologetic. The manager was not. He seemed like I was bothering him with my concerns.

We paid and left because, clearly, the management team had no longer cared.

The next day, I reached out to "Corporate" to express my concern and was dismissed just the same as I had been in the restaurant. This prompted me to no longer visit Arizola’s.

Years later, against my better judgment, I gave them another shot, then another. Each time, another disappointment: flavorless, poorly presented food that looked like it was slopped together with zero pride. The interior had not changed, and the atmosphere felt lifeless.

What once made definded Arizola’s completely vanished long ago, and what remains is an unrecognizable shell of its former self.

Shrimp 🍤 cocktail: if you ever had a shrimp cocktail at a Mexican restaurant. It’s v8 juice and lime and it’s delicious.

Not this place, a cup of instead of V8. KETCHUP w/shrimp mixed together and some avocado slices on top.

They said it was special sauce.

Ordered menudo, canned menudo.

Waitress supper friendly to white customers.

After I sent my cocktail back , my ketchup with shrimp.

They waitress asked if I wanted to try the menudo before I ordered it. 🤦‍♂️

☝️ ⭐️ cause the chips and salsa were good. 😊

We had heard good things about Arizola's and were finally able to get to there for lunch. I ordered the cheese enchiladas and some tamales. My wife ordered the chicken enchiladas and both didn't disappoint. Food and service were spot on. So happy we stopped by and will be back.

Nice in its simplicity & authenticity. It's a very welcoming & homely local family run place. The outside could use some TLC, but the inside did look clean & upkept from what I could see, even though some of the furniture is a bit dated. It does add a little to its charm though, must say. The salsa had a little bite, the queso was great. The beef enchiladas my friend had were great and my other friends quesadilla. Service was friendly and kept checking in.

The reasons for the lesser rating on the food is while dishes were enjoyed, a couple things on the menu weren't appealing. The prices seemed quite high for the level of cuisine. Secondly, beverages were listed at 3.30 per (16oz cups I think) and limited to 1 free refill. Lastly, 2 of our dishes weren't what we expected or worked for us. The carne guisada was a little spicier that I was looking for, nor the meat as tender as expected. I'm sure people love it however. Also the chicken enchilada pie listed and described as a casserole, it simply seemed like a double stuffed enchilada and so it seemed more a flop.

We had ciicken quesadillas & the combo ground taco /cheese enchiladas plate. First really like their salsa- not too hot not too mild. Just right. My buddy really enjoyed his chicken quesadillas.
Mine was a different story- the ground beef taco was the worst taco I’ve ever had in my life. I couldn’t eat it. Told the waitress- they did absolutely nothing to correct the issue. I won’t be back. However. You can judge for yourself. Oh I did like my cheese enchiladas.
