Emilia’s — Fort Worth’s Award-Winning Mediterranean Dining Destination Inside The Crescent Hotel, Where Executive Chef Preston Paine Brings the Sun-Kissed Flavors of the Adriatic to the Cultural District

There are few dining experiences in Fort Worth quite as transporting as Emilia’s, nestled inside The Crescent Hotel at the crossroads of the Cultural District. Named in homage to Fort Worth’s Italian sister city, Reggio Emilia, the restaurant draws inspiration from the sun-kissed ingredients of the Mediterranean and Adriatic Seas, serving fresh crudos, house-made pastas, and wood-grilled steaks and seafood inspired by Italy, France, Spain, Greece, and Morocco — all crafted with ingredients from local Texas ranchers and purveyors. Executive Chef Preston Paine, a veteran of Eleven Madison Park in New York and a Food Network competition alum, impresses with subtle spins on mostly Italian classics, and the result is a restaurant that feels equally at home for a business lunch, a romantic dinner, or a leisurely weekend brunch on the seasonal patio overlooking the Cultural District. Emilia’s has been awarded the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, placing it among the world’s top dining destinations for wine lovers.

The dining experience at Emilia’s spans several distinct concepts under one roof, each dialed to a different level of indulgence. The main restaurant menu features signature egg sandwiches and French toast for brunch, while dinner highlights include burrata with roasted tomato jam, polenta fries with arrabbiata, dry-aged beef tartar, and wood-grilled proteins paired with vibrant sauces and seasonal produce. Hidden behind frosted glass doors within Emilia’s is The Blue Room — a 50-seat fine dining sanctuary where a weekly six-course tasting menu built entirely on Texas-sourced ingredients unfolds alongside premium martinis shaken tableside, a fresh fish of the day deboned tableside, traditional caviar service, and over-the-top shellfish towers, with reserve wines and vintage champagnes personally selected by in-house sommelier Joel Teddlie. The Blue Room has been nominated for Restaurant of the Year in the 2026 CultureMap Fort Worth Tastemaker Awards. Meanwhile, The Circle Bar just off the hotel lobby transitions seamlessly from morning espressos to evening cocktails, with $2 oysters and a casual all-day menu perfect for lingering.

Emilia’s is open for breakfast Monday through Friday 7am–11am, brunch Saturday and Sunday 7am–2pm, lunch Monday through Friday 11am–2pm, and dinner daily from 5–10pm. Two private dining rooms are available — a 12-person Wine Room with views into the restaurant, and an 18-person Private Dining Room overlooking the patio — making it one of the most sought-after venues for Fort Worth private events and celebrations. Rated 4.5 stars by OpenTable diners, Emilia’s is a destination that rewards every visit with something memorable — find more of Fort Worth’s finest restaurants in the Fort Worth restaurant guide on Selling the Fort.

Had an amazing dinner at Emilia’s in the Crescent Hotel (Fort Worth) and tried several things off their summer menu!! Everything was so well thought out and delicious. After chatting with the staff, you can really tell how intentional and passionate they are about the dishes and the ingredients that go into them.

Our server, Kevin, was kind and knowledgeable. We even got the chance to chat with Chef Preston, which made the experience even more special. He shared that the meatballs are made with a special blend of six different proteins (wowww!!) and finished with this creamy house-made parmesan cheese foam. The grilled bread that comes with it is perfect for layering with the meatballs, sauce, and cheese for a complete bite!

Arancini has always been a favorite of mine, so we naturally had to order it. I really enjoyed the hint of creamy eggplant inside that perfectly compliments the cheesy risotto ball. The broccolini was simple but so flavorful, and the pistachio pesto paired with was a standout— I need a jar of it asap!!

The potato gnocchi was rich, with a bold romesco sauce balanced by creaminess. The whole bronzino was light, flaky, and not fishy at all. The skin was perfectly crispy and paired well with the mild, buttery fish inside. I’m not even usually into cooked fish, but I’d 100% order this again. The creamy leeks underneath made a really nice savory sauce to scoop up with the fish and veggies (plus shishitos yummm!!)

The braised beef rib was super tender, and the buckwheat polenta cake was a unique and nice pairing for the dish. It reminded me of a savory cornbread with a crispy exterior and soft center.

For dessert, we had the tiramisu and white chocolate cheesecake. Both were great, but I had to try the tiramisu since it’s one of my all-time favorites! Made the traditional way, with thick layers of mascarpone cream, coffee-soaked ladyfingers, and a lush layer of cocoa powder on top — it was a fantastic closer to the evening.

Wine-wise, I absolutely loved the Auntsfield Sauvignon Blanc — juicy, crisp, and without being too sweet. A great summer wine, I loved it so much I even asked our server, Kevin if I could take a pic of the bottle haha!

Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted and full of heart. Highly recommend Emilia’s for a special night out or if you’re looking for a meal that’s both elevated and approachable in an elegant yet cozy setting!

Emilia’s is located in the Crescent hotel in FW. We had a wonderful dinner experience with a group of 8 friends. They had us seated in the private wine room with a glass enclosure, and it was very intimate and yet the conversations flowed freely without bothering any other guests. The food was phenomenal, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Rigatoni was highly recommended by everyone we talked to. Pizza was flavorful with a thin crust. The meatballs and miso fritto appetizers were delightful. Must get the tiramisu with coffee before calling it a night.

We had a wonderful experience this past weekend at Emilia’s, celebrating our anniversary. From start to finish, everything was exceptional.

The food was absolutely delicious! We started with oysters, fried calamari, and shrimp — all fresh, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. Our entrées were just as impressive, full of flavor and expertly prepared.

What really stood out, though, was the service. Everyone on staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel cared for. Their warmth and professionalism created such a welcoming, celebratory atmosphere.

The restaurant itself is stunning, located inside a beautiful hotel, which added an extra touch of elegance to the evening.

If you’re celebrating a special occasion or just looking for an elevated dining experience, I highly recommend Emilia’s. We can’t wait to go back!

Emilia’s in downtown Fort Worth is hands down one of the best dining experiences I've had in the city. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, inviting, and upscale without being pretentious. The attention to detail in both the decor and the service is outstanding.

The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every dish we ordered was beautifully plated and bursting with flavor. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and take pride in their craft.

New gem of DFW! Loved the ambience. The service was impeccable - very attentive and quick. They have a pretty patio but there was some live guitar so we decided to sit inside. The cocktails were delicious - we ordered the Fort Worth fog… it was so good but so tiny and 22$. Would recommend sticking to wine. Burrata was interesting - came on top of a sweet carrot purée which we enjoyed. The meatballs were SO GOOD but they were not at all Italian, more middle eastern. I ordered the crudo which was fresh but not my fav crudo of all time. I feel like it could have been more flavorful. The star of the show was the halibut. It was delicious and had a pretty presentation - they poured a delicious pork broth when it arrived at the table. We also ordered the branzino which was tasty. And for dessert we ordered a banana salted caramel pudding which we were very skeptical about but it was insanely good.

We stayed at the Crescent hotel and ate/drank at Emilia’s quite a few times during our stay. I would highly recommend coming to the bar for a nightcap - the mix of locals and tourists with the great bartenders and cocktails leads to a great time. Gets busy on the weekends!

The restaurant serves breakfast daily for the hotel guests and it is delicious. We really enjoyed the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and the Avocado Toast. The cappuccino is delicious and perfectly made. We also enjoyed the chicken Parmesan sandwich and the pizza was pretty good as well. Service can be slow during the day - but at it was middle of the week with one other table mid-morning, so it was expected.

I was greeted as soon as I walked into the hotel. The restaurant atmosphere is cozy, and the chairs are comfortable. The Santa's slay cocktail was delicious! I learned brunch is only on Sat and Sun. I was the only customer and service was extremely slow. Unsure how service would be with a packed house. Note: The establishment doesn't offer free parking. Make sure the full menu is available during your visit.
