Enchiladas Olé — Fort Worth’s Saucy, Award-Winning Tex-Mex Obsession Built on a Mother’s Recipes and Seven Legendary Sauces

There’s a reason Fort Worth can’t stop talking about Enchiladas Olé. Owner Mary Perez started her enchilada business at home in her kitchen, turning her mama’s recipes into one of the most popular Tex-Mex restaurants in Fort Worth — and the acclaim has been relentless ever since. Enchiladas Olé has been voted one of the 10 best Tex-Mex restaurants in Texas by USA Today, named Fort Worth Magazine’s Best Tex-Mex in both 2021 and 2024 — unseating the legendary Joe T. Garcia’s — and has held a consistent spot among TripAdvisor’s top-rated restaurants in Cowtown since opening in 2013. The concept is brilliantly simple: mix-and-match enchiladas with your choice of filling and sauce, made fresh with no preservatives, no additives, and no lard.

The menu offers six options for fillings and seven for sauces, making every visit a new combination to explore. Standouts include the curried chicken enchilada blanketed in a velvet-smooth brick-red mole punctuated with sesame seeds, the Texican featuring shredded brisket and cheddar covered in a mild ancho chile sauce, and a diced yellow squash and zucchini filling paired with a puckery-tart tomatillo-lime sauce — all accompanied by beautifully simple pinto beans. Mary also brought her classic Emoladas with curried chicken draped in a smoky traditional mole sauce and topped with sesame seeds, and has added dishes like a New Mexico red sauce that brings brighter color and a touch more heat than most ancho-based offerings. The rice is legendary, the queso is a fan favorite, and the brisket enchiladas are what dreams are made of.

Enchiladas Olé is a family owned and operated restaurant offering dine-in, patio seating, curbside pickup, to-go margaritas, and vegetarian and keto-friendly options, with all-day happy hour every Monday and Tuesday. The Fort Worth Magnolia Avenue location is at 1208 W Magnolia Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104, and can be reached at (817) 751-5556 for orders and catering. Whether it’s a weeknight dinner or a full catering spread, Enchiladas Olé delivers the kind of food that turns first-time visitors into lifelong regulars — find more of Fort Worth’s best restaurants in the Fort Worth restaurant guide on Selling the Fort.

Good service. Friendly staff. Food was 5 out of 5. The rice was superb and the brisket was great. The only negative thing I can say is that the smell of Fabuloso (blue) was a little overpowering which I think took away from the delicious flavor of the food. I will definitely go back though.

This place is, as the kids would say, absolute gas!! I was a little skeptical at first. The menu is limited. The prices are high. You have to pay for chips and salsa (which is normally a huge red flag for me, but it's becoming much more common in today's economy). But I was blown away. First of all, by the friendliness of the staff. Everyone spoke to us when we entered. They were so nice and welcoming, it took me by surprise. And then I got to try the food, and I was in heaven. They have some unusual flavors, and you can build your own plate. I stuck with the brisket, and my wife tried the chicken curry. Both were phenomenal, and the rice and beans were also delicious. I loved the atmosphere too, as it was extremely bright and patio area looked extremely relaxing. All in all, I was impressed!
