This is a excellent place for fresh SUSHI, fish like fresh from the shore. They offer 2 different menu, one for Japanese dishes another one for French cuisine. Restaurant is located right inside TCU campus, very easy to find. I will come back for the French food next time, Peter told me that there are not many French restaurants can offer the dishes in his menu. You have to go try it out. I give 2 thumbs up 👍 👍 for this restaurant.

Amazing food, amazing service. Started with fried duck, miso soup, edamame. Ended with a Godzilla roll and a rack of lamb. Definitely a place I will continue to come back to!

You enter the place and it is quite nice, but the customer service is bad, they did not warn that their system was not working so when we finished eating, they said that we had to pay with cash, and we had to go to the 7 eleven , to the ATM that is there, which charges you a fee since it is not your bank's ATM.
They don't speak loud enough, and they didn't understand what we ordered, the chef wanted you to order more than one sushi roll because it's very small, for me personally it's a good size, so that insistence on making you order more food was a somewhat uncomfortable interaction .
The food tastes very good, but there are definitely better places to eat good sushi.

This was an odd experience to say the least. Let's start with the positives:

The chef and wait staff were very friendly, and the chef is clearly enthusiastic about you being there.
Some components were pretty good: the fried dumplings with curry were a pleasant blend of French pastry with Japanese flavors.
The miso soup tasted good
Our waters never got empty, and service was pretty quick.

Here's where things go wrong:
No one is here on a Thursday evening, and after visiting, I know why
The atmosphere is super odd. Office supplies in the corner, there was a pocketknife casually sitting on the table next to us, the appearance that they are trying to be fancy but in a sketchy old bank building that needs a facelift.
The saddest part is the food. I don't know what the across the board 5 star reviews are smoking, but I don't know if I can trust any of them. We ordered a sushi boat for two. It came with a variety of sashimi and sushi. The sashimi all tasted like it had just been thawed and did not taste fresh at all. The tuna and salmon were okay, palatable. The shrimp nigiri was decent. Every other piece of sashimi was pretty bad. The nigiri was slightly better but still did not meet any expectations for the price. There were three sushi rolls: a maki roll, an urumaki roll, and a "dragon roll". The maki was fine, nothing special, about what you could get at the most basic sushi restaurants. The urumaki was grocery store sushi level. The best food on the boat was sadly the overdressed and Americanized dragon roll. It at least tasted good since the sauces overwhelm any flavor of fish. I am confused by this place because it feels like they want to be upscale sushi with a focus on sashimi and nigiri, but they can't make either of those well. Instead they can make your run of the mill Americanized roll that you can get at any sushi restaurant for $15-20. Those are the sushi restaurants I try to avoid.
At the end, we had a "New York" cheesecake. It was thin, had no crust on the bottom, was much less sweet and creamy than typical cheesecake.
Finally, when it came time to pay, we were told we had to either pay with cash or write down our card info for them to process later since their POS system was down. Immediately afterwards we were told we had to pay in cash. We don't carry cash so they suggested we go to the ATM at the 7-11 next door. They gave us the cheesecake for free as compensation, which was good since the cheesecake wasn't very good.

The pictures appear decent, but the food just isn't good, especially for the price.

My husband and I had an amazing meal at this restaurant. The fish was so fresh and flavorful. It literally melted in your mouth. We have found our new favorite sushi restaurant. We also enjoyed one of the French delicacies. Everything was top notch. We had the joy of speaking with the chef and owner. The whole experience was delightful. We will be back. Please try this restaurant. You are in for a real treat!

We went with a group of 9 for my wife’s birthday. The chef’s hospitality is only matched by his food. He has a Michelin star from prior chef experiences. We had the ostrich entree as a table appetizer along with the tuna tatami and a wagyu carpaccio. There was equal dining from both the French and the Japanese menus. The sushi/sashimi platters are some of the freshest fish I have had. Many of their fish they bring in daily or weekly from Japan. Don’t sleep on the black cod either. Lastly, and not least, the ginger vinaigrette on their house sale is something I would love to bottle.

Second time at this restaurant with my wife. We have been thoroughly impressed both times by the service and quality of food. Highly recommend this restaurant. Tonight we were able to experience the tasting menu, and it was lovely. 8 course of great food. Stand outs were the baby scallops, pomegranate tuna and kobe (real A5) dish that was probably 6 ounces of real Kobe beef. Everything was excellent. Can’t wait to go back,
