Looking for an elite eating experience? Then look no further than Teddy Wongs! How has it taken us so long to post about one of our favorites in the Fort. What’s excellent here? Short answer, is absolutely everything. The dumplings(soup, steamed, or fried) are heavenly. Every dish is just delish, from the General Tso Chicken to the melt in your mouth Mongolian Beef, you will seriously want to order one of everything. Don’t forget an order of the fried rice, it’s the best. Did we mention that every Chef’s Special we have had, was out of this world. They also have a killer Gluten free menu. So what are you waiting for, sounds like we just planned your next meal for you! @teddywongsftw #chinesefood #soupdumplings #delicious #realestate #blreislocal

All praise, no con! This place is great from service to food! We ordered quite a bit:
Eggrolls with some spicy mustard. Perfect combo.
Crab Rangoon. It was so good.
We ordered lots of dumplings (combo, mushroom truffle lamb, etc. I can't remember them all but all were great.)
We also got the Texas beef broccoli and the beef with long peppers (spicy but good).
We also had the scallion cakes. Those didn't last long.
And topped it all off with vanilla bean bourbon ice cream. I'm ready to go back, so much I want to try.

I had such a great experience here! The dim sum was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. The soup dumplings were definitely the highlight — perfectly cooked with soft, delicate wrappers and generous fillings. Everything came out hot and quickly, and the staff was so attentive, especially Neal! Thank you for recommending the salt and pepper squid and for being amazing. 🔥.

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the menu had a great variety of options to try. I’ll definitely be coming back to sample more dishes. Highly recommend this spot if you love authentic, delicious dim sum!

Took a friend down here for lunch. It’s near the hospital district on Rosedale.

It’s a cute little, very intimate restaurant. While it’s kind of a traditional Asian place, it also had a kind of weird cowboy flavor going on as well.
We both got the BBQ fried rice. It was good, a bit heavy on the vegetables and a bit light on the BBQ. It was very good with a decent portion.

Our waiter was very good, friendly and helpful. The manager did try to upsell us for a bottle of wine while we were eating. Nice try anyways
We might go back as my daughter would love this but it’s not close to where I normally be so…

Expensive but good. Lunch for 2 ran $35 plus
We really enjoyed dining at Teddy Wong! The atmosphere was pleasant and inviting, making it a great place to relax. Our waitress, Kelsey J., was super nice and very attentive, which made our experience even better. The wagyu potstickers and the soup dumplings were so delicious! Parking is a little tricky but it definitely worth it once you’re inside. Highly recommend!

Great Chinese food with very generous portions.

Tried the hot oil pork dumplings. Really liked the flavour and the kick from the spicy oil.

Wagyu potstickers were really good and you can taste the quality of the meat.

Pork soup dumplings are very tasty.

We ordered a lot of things to try, we figured we’d have some leftovers for the week, but we were surprised at how generous the portions were.

Everything we ordered was great. Peking duck is amazing, and the orange chicken was great.

We will definitely be back.

Absolutely delicious! I have been wanting to come here and my boyfriend surprised me for dinner. We tried the hot oil wontons, crispy shrimp balls, the veggie dumplings, the mushroom dumplings, the chicken dumplings, veggie egg roll, and shrimp and steak fried rice. Everything was amazing! Tried it with the Janz Brut Rose! Service was quick, kind, and knowledgeable!

Fun newer place in Near Southside with reasonably priced menu items (both food and drink) designed to enjoy solo, as a couple, or with a group. Everything we tried was as promised, but nothing was a true signature dish. Our faves were the pork and chive dumplings and Mongolian beef. Overall volume was louder than expected leading us to lean in more than once to hear one another. Waitress was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Overall 4.5/5.0.

Had to go to Ft Worth. Wanted a nice place and good food. Teddy Wongs was awesome! Explained the menu and size of servings. Waitress checked to ensure things were good. Very pleasant and sweet. Ray got 1/2 duck I got orange chicken. We split fried rice and egg rolls.
Five stars was not enough! Our waitress was Liza and she was kind went over the menu with us and gave great recommendations. We ordered the spicy cucumber salad, chicken celery and carrot dumplings fried, Pork wontons in hot oil, Mongolian beef and chicken fried rice. With a glass of Pinot Noir and Sapporo beer our lunch was absolutely perfect.

TLDR: dim sum of pretty decent though limited options, otherwise it's mostly American Chinese food.

Came for dinner with friends. Seems like a very trendy place, tight quarters, young crowd. Ordered the egg rolls and crab and pork XLB. Egg rolls were pretty decent and I think one of the cheapest items on the menu. The crab and pork soup dumplings were very tasty and full of umami. They didn't come with any spoons so we basically one shotted these. The Chinese mustard that came with the egg rolls was really good with a nice horseradish kick to it. The waitress was nice enough to bring a few to go cups for when our meal was over.

Onto the mains. I ordered the mapo tofu and my wife ordered the sesame chicken. Mapo tofu was really good, on the borderline of being almost chemical tasting but didn't cross it. Wife enjoyed her sesame chicken but noted it was fairly standard. Our friends had the Mongolian beef, fried rice, and orange chicken. All and all, the dim sum was enjoyable, mapo tofu was proper numby, american Chinese dishes were pretty safe options.

Just a wonderful dining experience. We've been here twice now this last month, and both times, we had such a great time. Our service was so personable and attentive. The dining area is open, white tablecloths, a pleasant Bar that seats about 8, and is a nice option if ya can't get a reservation. You'll definitely need one here, and there's a reason for that. Our favorite were the, (steamed) Duroc pork soup dumplings, but the fried veggie dumplings were also very tasty. Both times we grabbed a bottle of Malbec that surprisingly paired nicely with our meal. The chicken fried rice was delicious, but be careful with that spicy cucumber salad...they mean what they say! Love the white tablecloths too, so come on people, dress yourselves up a tad would ya? Oh, and parking can be a bit of a challenge, as there's only about 8 spots in front, so you may need to park on the streets nearby. Nice job Teddy!

If you have not yet been to Teddy Wongs, you need to put it at the top of your list to check out! First, the food...in a word, PHENOMENAL! No matter whether your crave wagyu beef, amazing shrimp and lobster, or vegetarian options, they have you covered! You want something with a little spice, they can hook you up. And the prices are (by today's standard) incredibly affordable. Next, the service. Unbeatable. It is a smallish dining room, which gives a very intimate setting, including a beautiful bar, all of which are tended to by the most cheerful and warm Teddy Wongs team members. So, with all that said, it's obvious that I feel the atmosphere is just terrific. You'll rarely meet a stranger there. And if you want to enjoy a private dinner with a significant other, they have quaint booths and tables for those quiet conversations. Run...don't walk...to Teddy Wongs. Tell them David from Vinifera sent you!

The shrimp balls were the best thinks ever! The shrimp and beef were good but a little spicy. Drinks were good. Our waitress Darby was beyond amazing! She recommended so many things and was so helpful. We will be back and maybe know exactly what to order next time.

Took my husband for his birthday, we had a reservation, arrived early, and were seated early. The staff is very nice, the atmosphere is great and the food is perfect. You get a serving size large enough to enjoy and still have enough to take home.

I got the chocolate dumplings for dessert, and he loved them.

They also have a takeout area where you can order for pick-up.

You'll definitely love this place, it's great for lunch or a date night.

Typically, when selecting a restaurant, a person has a preconceived expectation of what the food should taste like. Rarely does the food exceed that expectation, but Teddy Wong’s does!! I LOVE dumplings and am a very harsh critic when it comes to, well, everything. The vegetable and brisket dumplings are masterpieces. I prefer mine pan-fried, and they were picture-perfect!!! The taste made me want to order another serving. I also had the sesame chicken with fried rice. It was so delicious that I ordered another serving of takeaway for dinner. Their prices are very reasonable as well. My total for my meal for a diet coke, tea, spicey cucumber salad, brisket dumplings, vegetable dumplings, two orders of fried rice, and two orders of sesame chicken was only $106.00!! What a steal! Run, don't walk to have your next meal here! I strongly recommend making reservations.
