Staff is the best. Meals are wonderful. Great medical care available at Bethesda Gardens. RX distribution done with such care. Daily medications are prepackaged from supplier marked with patient name and time medication required. I have never seen a better facility! Always clean. Staff loves everyone they serve. Great activities. I truly trust their caring for my mom at the memory care building.
While visiting our grandmother we witnessed several disturbing occurrences ranging from soiled laundry piled up for what had to be several days without attention to lack of staff members in general. This was in the "Memory Care" facility. We signed in at the front desk and was "buzzed" in as the door is electronically controlled, same when you leave.. a staff member has to input a code to open the door and we had to first find a staff member which took several minutes. Patients roamed the hallways and some were seen entering the rooms of what appeard to be other patient rooms without permission. Overall impression was horrible. We will seek alternative care for our family member now. Had we not shown up to visit, we would not have seen all this. We were told that the initial consultation was nothing more than a sales pitch in an attempt to make this place seem "wonderful". It is apparently owned by a company that does this in many places. It is not local. The food was less than cafeteria quality and while some staff members were friendly, others acted as if they did not want to be there, which is not what a family wants or needs when it comes to a full care memory facility. I would never recommend Bethesda Gardens Memory Care to anyone who cares about their loved ones.
This facility has been a god-send for me. I needed a place for my mother in law to spend some respite time at and they have been wonderful. We had my daughter’s wedding and we just couldn’t care for her and handle the remaining wedding plans. she spent 12 days there and no complaints. She was taken care of in every way needed. My mind was at rest the whole time. If we were to place her permanently I’d definitely use them. It’s clean, organized staff and everyone looked happy. All pluses.
Bethesda Gardens Memory Care is a wonderful place for your loved one! The staff treat each and every resident with compassion and quality care. I am always greeted with enthusiastic and kind staff members and they truly love the residents like family. You can tell they really do love what they do! I highly recommend them!!!
Our mom has been at Bethesda Gardens Memory Care for just shy of 4 years and it has been a wonderful experience for all of us. Mother had become paranoid and would leave her home and wonder through the neighborhood and we knew it was time to place her somewhere. Bethesda was a great choice. Mom is happy and healthy. The facility is big which allows her to walk the halls all day with her new best friend! The medical care is excellent. They keep me inform on anything that they find, big or small. The family events are so much fun for all. You can feel the love and you can see how the staff relates to the residence and its great. The rooms are very nice! The staff does a great job of keeping everything nice and clean.
