I had the best experience working with the team at Maven. Court did my color and was such a pleasure to work with. The consult was comprehensive, and she really took time to understand what my vision was. Marissa did my cut and it feels so much healthier! They were both so kind and warm. Sometimes salons can feel stuffy and mean girl-y. This was NOT the maven vibe. I’ve been trying for 5 years to find “my salon” in DFW and Maven is the spot for sure! They offer complimentary drinks, snacks and have a robust product line to maintain your new hair routine. I can’t recommend Maven enough. Check out Court and Marissa, you won’t regret it!

My inspo pics vs what I got
Since the business has replied that it was due to my box dye. Let me get the fact straight this time, the box dye was on lower half of my hair. BTW the box dye was medium copper red not black, so you could easily see the line where the box dye started. BLACK is my natural hair color. I told my stylist maycee explicitly to not care about the color on lower half with the dye as I was ready to cut my hair the same day to a bob if there was any mishap with color. I told her to focus on the virgin hair, which is more than half my hair. She had actually prepared a separate pricing with the haircut for just in case. Now let’s talk about the actual experience, the coloring process took more than 5 hours. Also, I had uploaded my inspo pics, but there was no earlier communication made my stylist beforehand. I am stating it because Alyssa who had previously cut my hair had called me before the appointment to communicate better on my expectations and what she could deliver, which I respect. Now talking about correction that you guys offered, Marrisa had informed me that the correction would be performed by the same stylist, which I do not want. I would not want it to be corrected by same stylist risking more damage to the hair.

Loved my experience here! The salon has such a light, welcoming vibe with snacks and refreshments, and everyone was super kind. My stylist, Mya, really listened to my concerns, matched my color perfectly, and focused on my hair goals without pushing extra products. After a couple of bad experiences elsewhere, I was nervous to try a new place—but I’m so glad I did. My hair looks amazing and I’ll definitely be coming back!

Had the best 1st time experience at Maven! I wasn’t completely sure what to ask for while booking, however I was helped, and guided through the process. Jay was my stylist and she was wonderful, she did an amazing job on my hair. I could not have had a better experience, I will definitely be back, and I will definitely recommend this place to my friends:)

I had not been in a salon in over a decade, I use box dyes and don’t take care of my hair, but Court didn’t even flinch! No judgement, just great vibes, solid advice, and fantastic work! She completely transformed me in less than 48 hours of meeting her. I came in for a consult, we swapped ideas and she was able to book me the very next day. She worked for several hours and even went into OVERTIME past the shops operating hours without charging me extra to complete the job. To top it off several of the stylists helped out, complimented my hair, and made me feel right at home. Could not have asked for a better experience!
